We're pleased to host flautist Kyla-Rae Ashworth for
our second redux of Residence. Recently returned from overseas studies
with Jana Winderen at Camp in the French pyrenees, presenting her first
solo improvisation at Outcome Unknown, Tone List hopes this residency
is a timely opportunity to focus, experiment and obtain feedback.
Our performance residency series is about offering a musician an
opportunity to "sharpen the sword" and test experimental ideas through
back-to-back nightly concerts. This is a rarity in Boorloo, where
experimental gigs are still relatively infrequent. But it's essential to
really develop some experimental music practices, which thrive on the
energy brought by an audience.
